On Sunday September 29, 2024, our Officers had the pleasure and honor of joining thousands of other first responders in participating in the Tunnel to Towers 5k memorial run/walk event. The path of the race follows the footsteps of FDNY Fire Fighter Stephen Siller who ran from his Brooklyn Firehouse on 09/11/01 to the Trade Center where he untimely lost his life.
Sgt. Cangialosi, Cpl.Kenny, P.O. O’Hanlon, P.O. Reyes and S.O. Riedel teamed with Members of the Mahwah Fire Department to participate in the event. For some of our members it was their first time participating in the event, others have participated for a number of years. After completing the event today, it certainly won’t be our last.
The Tunnel to Towers organization is run by Firefighter Siller’s family and is a leader in charitable donations and work benefiting injured veterans and first responders. For more information on the Tunnel to Towers organizations, head on over to T2T.org
